In August 2025, Converge Solutions implemented the first phase of ISH+ EMR functionality, covering Theatre Booking and Radiology Integration to maintain continuity of care. We also delivered standards-based integration with GE Radiology and SAP ECC / SAP IS-H, improving scheduling and reducing manual administration. Future phases will extend the use of ISH+ across the hospital.

A 200-bed specialist hospital required the urgent go-live of an alternative electronic records management capability within an existing and evolving healthcare systems environment. The implementation had to be delivered within a highly compressed timeframe, while maintaining operational continuity, supporting integration with surrounding systems, and avoiding unnecessary recapture of information. Additional complexity arose because surrounding systems and infrastructure were still changing during project execution, creating technical challenges, inconsistent source conditions, and the need for careful phased prioritisation.

The Solution

Converge Solutions implemented ISH+ using a phased, pragmatic delivery approach that prioritised the hospital’s most urgent needs first, enabling rapid progress while managing complexity in parallel. The solution focused on establishing a seamless process between existing systems and ISH+ to preserve information consistency and support operational continuity. Because of the compressed timeline and shifting technical environment, the project required an agile and highly responsive execution model, supported by additional guardrails to ensure stability even where source data and connectivity were less than ideal. Strong collaboration, active governance, and close coordination between teams were central to resolving issues effectively throughout the implementation.

The Results

ISH+ was successfully taken live in a complex specialist hospital environment, achieving an important milestone in a time-sensitive digital health deployment. The environment has since stabilised and is delivering the expected outcome, while also creating a solid foundation for future phases of digitisation. The project demonstrated Converge Solutions’ ability to execute quickly and precisely in complex healthcare settings, combining platform adaptability with practical delivery discipline under demanding conditions.

The Challenge

The hospital’s SAP ECC6/ISH and i.s.h.med landscape had been destabilised by a poor initial implementation that introduced unnecessary custom ABAP code instead of using standard SAP functionality. As a result, the organisation struggled to produce accurate financial results, reliable reporting, and mandatory government compliance outputs.

The Solution

The Results

Converge Solutions took over from the incumbent partner and, together with the hospital, established a structured recovery plan. We audited all open issues, prioritised the most business-critical items, removed custom developments where standard SAP could be reinstated, and worked through the backlog in a controlled sequence. From February 2023 to the end of 2024, open calls were reduced from several hundred to fewer than 20, with major financial, reporting, and regulatory issues resolved.
